North Norfolk Images Supplement onSir Giles Gilbert Scott
Sir Giles Gilbert Scott designed St. Joseph's (RC) Sheringham. He was noted for the combining of the Gothic tradition with modernism. Here are some other examples of his work - the Anglican Cathedral in Liverpool and St. Paul's Parish Church, Stoneycroft, Liverpool. Amongst the many other notable Scott buildings are the Bankside (now the Tate Modern) and Battersea Power Stations, the William Booth Memorial Library at Camberwell, Waterloo Bridge, and Cambridge University Library. |
