The attractive village of Langham is 1.5 miles south from the coastal village of Morston. The church, St. Andrew and St. Mary, was built in the 15th century and much restored in 1868. There is glass by the Pre-Raphaelite Edward Burne-Jones in the north-east window of the nave. ![]() The 19th century writer Captain Marryat, author of many nautical adventures, noteably "Mr. Midshipman Easy" and "Masterman Ready", lived in Langham and died here on August 8, 1848. He is buried in the churchyard (pictured right) south of the tower. A. Haig
