Gunthorpe

Gunthorpe

The attractive village of Gunthorpe sits in a shallow valley five miles south-west of Holt. At the village centre is the Green where five roads converge.

To the north-west stands St.Mary's Church. Its tower was built circa 1417, but has doorways from circa 1300. Close by it is the old village school, built 1869.

The Hall is on the west side of the village in a much wooded Park. The Hall was built by Sir John Soane in 1788, but re-fronted a century later.
