Gresham

Sir Thomas Gresham founded the Royal Exchange. His uncle, John Gresham, was born in his parents manor house at Holt, which he later converted into Gresham's School. Gresham village is about three miles south of Sheringham.

All Saints' Church has a round tower, and the porch is faced with knapped flint. The chancel dates from the early 14th century.

The remains of Gresham Castle, a fortified house, are on the south side of the village opposite the Chequers Pub. It would have been similar in shape to the nearby Baconsthorpe Castle, it too having a moat.
