The town of Fakenham at the heart of North Norfolk, still has a good mix of supermarkets and small local shops. Its regular Thursday street market and auction remains to this day the focal point of local county life. There are more tourist orientated locations in the region, but few can compete with bustle and charm of Fakenham on market day.
